Community and Activation
Where a sponsorship stops being a logo and starts being felt.
A signed deal is a promise. Activation is whether anyone keeps it. The gap between the two is why most sponsorships underdeliver: no activation plan, no budget behind it, and nobody whose job it is to make the partnership visible to the people it was meant to reach.
A good partnership has to pay off three ways: for the rights holder, for the sponsor, and for the community around them both. This is the work that makes the third one real.
Who this is for
Brands whose sponsorships need to mean something locally, not just appear on signage. Rights holders and clubs who want to give partners a reason to renew. Organisations with CSR commitments looking for community investment that is genuine and measurable.
What we do
CSR alignment. Connecting what your business already stands for with community programmes that fit it honestly. Forced fits get found out.
Community impact strategy. Designing partnership programmes that deliver measurable community outcomes, and evidence of them, not just photo opportunities.
Partner activation planning. The season-long plan for making a sponsorship visible and valuable: campaigns, appearances, content and community programmes, with owners and budgets attached.
Hospitality design. Making matchday and event hospitality do commercial work: the right guests, the right experience, and follow-up that turns a good afternoon into a relationship.
How an engagement works
Activation planning typically happens at the start of a partnership or a season. CSR and community strategy work runs as a defined project. We also do one-off activation reviews of existing sponsorships that feel flat.
Frequently asked
Is this only for sport?
No. The same principles apply to property, infrastructure, events and the arts. If there is a brand and a community to connect, the methodology is the same.
We have no activation budget. Can this still work?
Often yes. A sensible rule of thumb is to plan activation before signing, so the budget exists in the deal rather than being an afterthought. If the deal is already signed, we work with what is there.
