Partnerships that perform
Strategic partnership advisory for brands, rights holders and community organisations across Western Australia.
Organisations and brands I have worked with
I help organisations build partnerships that actually work.
Structured well, negotiated cleanly, and designed to create genuine value on both sides of the table.
Two decades across sport, business and community. From professional rugby at the WRU and Western Force, to commercial and stakeholder roles in infrastructure and resources.
I have operated as a brand, a rights holder, and an advisor. That breadth changes how I approach every engagement.”
What We Do
Sponsorship negotiation, rights management, asset audits and partnership performance reviews. We help brands and rights holders build deals that work for both sides of the table.
Revenue model design, offer architecture, sponsorship strategy and commercial pitch decks. We build the commercial infrastructure that turns relationships into revenue.
CSR alignment, community impact strategy, hospitality design and partner activation planning. We make sure partnerships land well beyond the contract.
Positioning, messaging, visual identity and brand architecture. We help organisations define who they are and how they show up in the market.
Design, videography, content creation, social strategy and digital campaign management — through our specialist network. From brand assets to digital presence, we help clients show up and stand out.
What Our Clients Say
"Huw in my opinion is the best Commercial Manager in Australian Rugby. The partners he secures quickly learn that Huw will align the family of sponsors together as a team. While Huw loves the hunt and the chase, his outstanding trait is that the delivery of the partnership to all parties is professional and outstanding. He always delivers."
Tony Lewis, CEO, Western Force“Huw possesses that unique trifecta of strong commercial acumen, a very high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to always deliver above expectations. Our partnership with the Western Force was a true success, led by our interactions with Huw and his team. He always led from the front and was keen to push the envelope on what was possible."
Brian Murphy, Head of Marketing, Tab Touch | Perth Bears
“Huw is dedicated to customer focus, ensuring quality outcomes from both a product and service viewpoint. Huw never lets the goal of perfection be the enemy of a good result.”

Brands looking to invest in sponsorship, rights holders wanting to commercialise their assets, and community organisations building their first commercial programme. If you are trying to create value through partnerships, we can help.
What types of organisations do you work with?
1
We already have sponsors — can you still help?
2
Absolutely. Most of our work is with organisations that have existing partnerships but are not getting the most from them. We audit what you have, identify what is missing and help you build something that works better for both sides.
What does a typical engagement look like?
3
Every engagement is different. Some clients need a one-off strategy session. Others want ongoing advisory support across a full season or commercial cycle. We work to fit your needs and budget, not the other way around.
Yes. While sport is our home ground, the principles of commercial partnerships apply across property, infrastructure, events and community. If there is a brand and a community to connect, the methodology is the same.
Do you work with organisations outside of sport?
4
You get direct access to senior expertise on every engagement — not a junior account manager. We are deliberately small, which means faster decisions, lower overhead and advice that is genuinely independent.
How is Fly Half Works different from a large agency?
5
Can you help if we are just starting out?
6
Yes — we often do our best work at the beginning. Getting the foundations right from the start saves significant time and money later. Whether it is your first sponsorship proposal or your first commercial strategy, we can help you build it properly.
Do you work on a retainer or project basis?
7
Both. Short engagements, project-based work and ongoing retainer arrangements are all available. We will recommend what makes sense for your situation.
